I’ve been shooting concerts and shows for about two years now and the experience has been nothing short of wonderful. It is nerve-wracking, obviously (we only get to shoot for around 10 minutes before we get booted off the photo pit) and there are many things that could go wrong, but it’s still one of the best experiences anyone can get.
I have this belief that there are no bad gigs, only challenging ones, and I definitely had my fair share of those this year. Every gig is an opportunity for learning, as what the masters used to say and I think it’d be stupid of me to not take that advice to heart.
2016, you were wonderful. At least, from a concert photographer’s perspective.
Here’s to more shoots and gigs.
